Every countertop that leaves a Kitchen & Bath showroom carries the partner’s name, even though another company cut and installed it. That makes the fabricator part of the partner’s reputation, one order at a time. Cutting Edge Stoneworks builds its partner relationships around consistency, so every order a partner sends us is held to the same standard.
The Partner’s Client Stays the Partner’s Client
When a partner sends a client to us, that client stays the partner’s client from the template appointment through the final install, and their experience reflects on the partner. A partner may have built a name on a particular look or finish, and every referred order has to meet that standard, whether or not anyone happens to be watching that week. Once the template is taken on site, each piece is cut and finished at our Mooresville shop. Installation belongs to dedicated install crews that work with no other fabricator, and they pick up each job straight from our fabricators at the shop, so the people setting a partner’s countertop know our finish standard up close.
A Dedicated Account Manager and Project Coordinator, Not a Call Line
Every partner account has one person on our side who handles its scheduling and coordination, so a question about a specific order goes to someone who already knows its history. Template and install dates for partner jobs are booked by the one person in our office who schedules all of our work, so they come from a single calendar. When a partner’s customer calls the showroom about their countertop, the partner has a direct line to the answer and can stay the one who gives it.
Trade Pricing Built Around a Partnership, Not a One-Off Sale
Partner work runs through a trade account, and we price each project with its own estimate after we know the scope and material. That holds for a partner sending us a first order and for one who has worked with us for years. What carries from one order to the next is the relationship itself, with the shop and the finish standard staying the same whether the job is a single vanity top or a full kitchen.
Materials and Brand Options for Partner Orders
We fabricate natural stone including quartzite, marble, granite, limestone, soapstone, onyx, semi-precious stone, and dolomite, as well as two manufactured surfaces, porcelain and quartz. On the quartz side, Cutting Edge Stoneworks is a Premier Partner with Cambria and the region’s highest-volume Cambria dealer, and partners can also order Silestone by Cosentino, Emerstone, MSI Q-Quartz, LX Hausys and Eclos through us. A partner whose showroom displays Emerstone has a fabricator nearby who works with the line, since we are one of only two North Carolina fabricators carrying it. Like the other branded quartz lines, Emerstone is ordered for each project, so the color the client approved in the partner’s showroom is the color we order.
Showroom Samples and What They’re Actually Selecting
A partner’s showroom usually displays samples, and for quartz that works well, because a sample shows the color and pattern the client will get. We also stock full slabs in some of the common quartz colors, so a client who wants to see more than a sample can sometimes see the whole slab. Natural stone is different. A sample can show its general color and texture, but not the veining and movement of the particular slab that will be cut, so clients pick their natural stone in person, at our Mooresville yard or at a partner’s yard.
Templating and Install Care Around the Partner Relationship
A partner-referred job is templated and installed with the partner’s client in mind. Our laser templating teams take the template on site after the cabinets are set, with no need for the slab to be delivered first. On install day, the crew covers the cabinets and flooring with surface protection before work starts, and on a partner’s job those cabinets are often ones the partner sold. Our Install Manager inspects the work and comes to the site for complex or high-priority installs and for first-time customers. The aim is a countertop that holds up to the close look a partner’s client will give it.
Support After Installation
Our support continues once the install is finished, and we stand behind the work we put in a partner’s project. A post-install question on a referred job reflects on the partner’s name. We keep a care guide for every material, and a partner can pass it to the client along with the rest of the project paperwork. A partner may have sold the same client cabinetry and plumbing fixtures along with the countertop in one project, and the countertop shouldn’t be the piece nobody follows up on.
Setting Up a Partner Account
Kitchen & Bath partners can open a trade account with us for ongoing fabrication work, and each account starts with an account setup form. We work out of Mooresville, serving Lake Norman and the Charlotte metro, and we take on projects throughout the Carolinas within roughly a two-hour radius.
If you’re looking for a fabrication partner who holds every referred order to one standard, reach out to Cutting Edge Stoneworks about a partner trade account.
